Interview with J&A Racing Coach

PlantBased.Com: What is your favorite fruit? Ryan Conrad: It fluctuates each season as to what is in season. Right now, I’d have to say peaches. PlantBased.Com: What is your favorite vegetable? Ryan Conrad: Brocolli. I add a heaping pile of it to my meals – to the point of my wife laughing about it. PlantBased.Com: Why do you like peaches? Ryan Conrad: I grew up in pennsylvania and some of my fondest memories are picking peaches from an orchard with my parents every summer. They were so fresh and delicious and signified the nearing transition from summer to fall. PlantBased.Com: Why do you like broccoli? Ryan Conrad : I feel like you can eat it with just about anything and you can never get too much of it. I like roasting it. PlantBased.Com: What do you eat before races? Ryan Conrad: I sometimes get nervous before races so I can’t stomach a lot of solid foods. Two bananas with peanut butter is my go to as it’s easy to eat and gives me a boost of energy.
